Aditya Verma

Aditya Verma graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from the Schulich School of Engineering in 2022. Since then, he has been working at Fluor as a Piping Stress and Piping Materials Engineer across several renewable energy projects. Currently, he is part of the team building Canada’s largest LNG plant. This will enable energy transition locally and globally and put Canada on the global map of sustainable energy. Besides work, Aditya enjoys going out for runs, hiking in the Rocky Mountains, and volunteering. Also, as the President of the Fluor Toastmasters club, he is championing the cause of authentic identity by eliminating the fear of public speaking. He is also the Lead for the University of Calgary Alumni Committee at Fluor, managing campus volunteering opportunities and maintaining the synergy between Fluor and the Schulich School of Engineering. Aditya is passionate about empowering the rich talent pool at the University of Calgary to build a better, more sustainable future for everyone.

Harshini Anisingaraju

Harshini was born in India and immigrated to Canada when she was 9 years old, calling Calgary home for the last 20 years. She graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering and has been working at Fluor Canada since 2018. Working as an E.I.T in the electrical department, she works on engineering design activities and performs Power System Studies for various energy projects. She has also been Fluor’s Executive Sponsor for the University of Calgary since 2023. In 2023, she received the Young Resource Leader award from the Alberta Chamber of Resources for developing a program that aids early career engineers in their P. Eng application. Being a woman in a male-dominated industry, Harshini is determined to re-define norms and serve as a reminder for all the work that’s yet to be done when it comes to diversity and equality.

Mohammed Abu Talib Shaik

Shaik was born in Jamshedpur (place where first steel mill of independent India was established). He completed his undergrad in Visakhapatnam, India majoring in Chemical Engineering. He worked for 2 years in India as a G.E.T (Indian equivalent to E.I.T) in a chemical manufacturing company. Shaik moved to Canada in 2019 to do his Master’s in chemical engineering from University of Calgary and graduated in 2021. Ever since then, he calls Calgary his home. Shaik has been working for Fluor since 2022 and he is currently doing process simulations and calculations for a lithium Extraction Study. Shaik acts like a bridge between Fluor and Schulich School of Engineering and take care of all communications, volunteering opportunities and other activities with Schulich School of Engineering. Apart from work, Shaik does Horse Riding, likes playing golf and is trying hard not to fail at cross country skiing.
